Therapy for Integration Challenges (Intercultural Therapy)

An intercultural approach tailored to integration challenges in Switzerland

Switzerland is a unique country. While it is often praised for its constitutional neutrality or its system of direct democracy, few people know that it has three official languages (German, French, and Italian), with English serving as a common language in many contexts. Each canton has its own laws and cultural particularities, often illustrated by the well-known "Röstigraben" (Rösti ditch) dividing the French-speaking and German-speaking regions.

On one hand, this diversity makes Switzerland a model of intercultural excellence. On the other hand, it creates misunderstandings and challenges stemming from cultural differences. Moreover, with 25% of its population being foreign residents, these complexities are further multiplied.

In my years of practice in Geneva, a city close to major international organizations, I’ve worked with many families facing these challenges. Issues such as school integration for children, cultural differences in work environments, or building social relationships in a more reserved cultural context are common problems they encounter.

Having lived in Switzerland for over 30 years myself, I have experienced these differences firsthand. Drawing from this experience, I am here to guide and support you on your journey until you can feel fully comfortable in your environment while staying true to yourself.

My creative approach to support you :

  • Reconnect with your origins without suffering from homesickness.
  • Assert your identity without feeling inhibited by others' perceptions.
  • Develop creative ways to navigate your daily life.
  • Break free from social isolation through a personalized approach adapted to your situation.

Whether you’ve recently arrived or have been settled for years, I offer a safe space to explore, understand, and harmonize your intercultural experience in Switzerland.
